Privacy policy

Eqaim Technology and Services Private Limited ("Eqaim") owns and operates reneGIS (https://renegis.org) and is the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what Eqaim collects, why, and what your choices are.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, name if you give one, your organisation and role, sign-in times and the IP address and browser used to sign in. Sign-in codes are stored hashed and expire in minutes.
• Project data: the coordinates, asset names, company names and notes you paste into a run, the settings you choose and the results. This is stored per organisation so that runs can be revisited and re-run.
• Billing data: legal name, GSTIN and billing address if an admin enters them, and for each purchase the amount, tax, Razorpay order and payment ids and the payment method summary Razorpay reports (for example a UPI id or the last four digits of a card). We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Demo requests and support email: what you send us, so we can reply.
• Usage analytics: on the production site we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used. Inside the signed-in app, text and data fields are masked before any recording leaves your browser.

How Eqaim uses it

To provide the Service, run and store your analyses, account for credits, send transactional email (sign-in codes, invitations, receipts, notifications to organisation admins), respond to you, keep the Service secure and improve it. We do not sell personal data and do not use your project data for any other customer.

Who Eqaim shares it with

• Razorpay Software Private Limited, to process payments.
• Resend, to deliver our email.
• Microsoft Clarity, for usage analytics on the public site and masked recordings in the app.
• Cloudflare, which fronts our servers, and our hosting provider in India, where the data is stored.
• Map tiles are loaded in your browser from OpenFreeMap and Esri; those requests carry your IP address and the map area viewed, not your project data.
• Place-name search in the free UTM Zone Finder is answered by the Photon geocoder (komoot, OpenStreetMap data); only the text you type is sent.

We disclose data when the law requires it.

Retention

Account, organisation, run and billing records are kept for as long as the organisation exists and thereafter as required for accounting (generally 8 years for invoices under Indian law). Nothing is hard-deleted from our database; records are marked deleted and excluded from the Service.

Your choices

You can update your name in the app and ask an admin to deactivate your membership. To access, correct or delete personal data, or to close an organisation, email [email protected] from the address concerned.

Cookies

The signed-in app uses two strictly necessary cookies for your session. The public site sets no marketing cookies; Clarity uses its own identifiers as described in Microsoft's privacy statement.
